Dangers of Botox Print E-mail
Believe it or not what is now used by many people to reverse the effects of aging on our skin is actually a known poison. Botox is a very diluted, tiny dosage of the botulism bacteria. For years many people would get very ill and even die from eating meat that had been infected with the toxic bacteria. Basically Botox is toxin which blocks neurotransmissions. Just what does that mean, and how does it help stop aging? Well if an area is injected with Botox, it becomes pretty much paralyzed. If the muscles in an area can’t move, then they can’t from wrinkles either. Botox also fills in the area it is injected into, so any predisposing wrinkles seem to go away as they are filled, or puffed up. While Botox can be injected directly into a muscle, so the area of affect is limited, the duration of the effects are limited as well. Once a person starts getting Botox treatments, they usually have to go back every three to eight months for more treatments.
